Milton "Dee" Hobbs Jr

Dee is an Oxford native, as his family has been in Oxford for five generations. He focuses his practice in business and corporate law, commercial and residential real estate transactions and developments, contract negotiations in the entertainment and sports industries, including representing businesses and college athletes in NIL Contracts.  He handles land use entitlement matters, zoning, commercial and residential development and commercial condominiums. Dee handles these real estate matters for businesses in various sectors, including retail, healthcare (including hospitals and physician practice groups), restaurants,  bars, cannabis companies energy companies, recreation, timber and mixed-use developments. 

Dee also provides fast and reliable closing services for the sale or purchase of any commercial, recreational or residential property.

Dee advises clients in a broad scope of business deals, negotiates and closes business transactions, including stock sales and acquisitions, asset sales and acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures and technology licensing. Dee represents clients on these corporate transactions in a wide range of industry segments including cannabis,  technology, energy, healthcare, hospitality, entertainment and retail.

Dee represents clients in the emerging Mississipi medical cannabis industry and has represnted many restaurant and bar clients and has experience with alcohol regulations and licensing matters in Mississippi.  Dee is bringing his licensing and regulatory experience to the new Mississippi medical cannabis industry and is representing clients ranging from small boutique medical cannabis growers and dispensaries to larger vertically- integrated medical cannabis companies.  He is a Sustaining Member of the International Cannabis Bar Association (INCBA) and a Member of NORML's legal committee.  

Dee is a former NFL Agent and has experience representing professional athletes and college coaches with contract negotiations, marketing deals, and various NCAA issues.  He also represents businesses and college athletes in Mississippi with negotiating and closing NIL or “Name Image and Likeness” deals.

Dee represents film and television production companies, Authors and music groups with a wide range of deals, including publishing agreements, management deals, touring deals, equity financing as well as intellectual property protections and licensing deals. Dee has experience in trademarks, service marks and copyright matters.
