Tim Flaherty has dedicated his legal career to those facing some of the toughest situations of their lives. He believes in providing every client with the highest quality of legal service through open communication and an aggressive approach to their charges. With jail time, steep fines, and a criminal record hanging over the heads of those arrested, he proactively seeks out a positive resolution with determination.
Both Timothy Flaherty's education and courtroom experience are based in a determination to succeed. He worked toward his Bachelor's degree at Northwest Missouri State University before beginning his study of law. He received his Juris Doctorate from Southern Illinois University School of Law and became licensed to practice in Florida in 2001. He eagerly began gaining first-hand experience as an Assistant Public Defender for the State of Florida and saw first-hand the tough situations faced by those charged with criminal offenses such as DUI, drug crimes, and theft. He established his own practice, Flaherty Defense Firm, in 2004, and he currently serves those in the Fort Walton Beach area who are seeking an attorney who is not afraid to stand up for them.
As a member of various legal organizations including the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, NORML, and the Florida Bar's Criminal Law Section, he stays current on legal issues across the State. In addition, he contributes as a judge and advisor for the Okaloosa County Teen Court program, sharing his knowledge of Florida's laws and serving his community.
