Leland R Berger

Portland activist and attorney Leland R. Berger, practicing since 1983, formed Oregon CannaBusiness Compliance Counsel, LLC in 2013.

A co-drafter of the Oregon Medical Marijuana Act and of Ballot Measure 91, Mr. Berger also helped draft dispensary initiatives and lobbied the Oregon Legislature on behalf of patients and their providers from 1999 – 2013.Since 2015, his legislative advocacy is on behalf of all cannabis consumers.

Mr. Berger’s practice also includes advising cannabusinesses on compliance, and representation on related administrative and trial litigation, as well as state cannabis related criminal defense and appeals.

Mr. Berger is admitted to practice in all courts of the state of Oregon, before the US District Court for the District of Oregon, the US 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and the US Supreme Court
